SALALAH
The city which is actually known as Perfume Capital of Arabia is Salalah. The second largest city of Sultanate Of Oman. As per the City demographics it lies at the south of the Country close with the Border of Yemen. However, the reason why Salalah is named after Perfume Capital of Arabia is just due to the natural attractions of the nearby mountains and abundant stands of frankincense trees lining mountain wadi (valley) courses. To the North of the City it holds a long range of Mountains and to the opposite attached with a long coastal Area.
Salalah is been considered as a Best tourism Point of Arabia, also known for an Oasis. Due to the Geographic Location of Arab Countries they mostly hold a hot climate with sand dunes but Salalah is been a Paradise for all Arabs and Non-Arabs who are residing at GCC for any concern. The Climate of the city is very moderate depending Upon the Season. Whereas, if it is a Monsoon season which actually start from mid of July till September End is very attractive for those who had ever seen the Beauty of Nature.

During the span of this Season, the whole city turns out Green which was a Desert Before. The mountains at the North of the city seems to be covered with a Green carpet that is actually a grass in result of Continuous Drizzling and at the West of the City the Natural Waterfall starts with attracting the residents and tourist towards it. That actually runs exclusively for the Monsoon Season only.

Jabal Akhdar
is the one of the highest mountain in Oman

If you want to go on top of the mountain then the trek is not difficult but there are a lot of stairs that make it sporty ! But it is worth the effort because the view is amazing

To access Sayq plateau you need to have a 4wd otherwise you will be stopped at the military checkpoint at the beginning of the road going into the plateau.

Female Drivers in Salalah

The weather isn't the only thing changing around here. I can't believe how quickly Salalah is metamorphasizing. Into what, I am unsure. For better or for worse? Maybe a bit of both. The number of women drivers has at least doubled in the last year. Have you noticed?? A year ago, you rarely saw a woman behind the wheel. Today though, you can bet you'll come across a few local female drivers while on the road, usually with a bunch of other girls in the backseat. Well gentlemen, with the rapidly growing number for girl drivers, youd better be really good at numbers.
